Apartment for Rent in Portugal
Travessa Custodio Da Silva Raposo is situated in Aldeia Da Paio Pires a suburb of Seixal just 20 minutes from Lisbon Portela International Airport. Surrounded by the Rio Tejo river on two sides and the Atlantic warmed by the Gulf Stream on the western side, you could consider this apartment as the perfect base for you to explore Portugal.
An Authentic Experience
If you have ever considered visiting Portugal but do not like the typical expensive tourist traps, then this is the perfect way to enjoy an authentic Portuguese holiday.
You will be dealing with the owner directly so you will save a lot of money by shopping around for the components, (such as the flights, insurance and car hire, etc.).
Aldeia Da Paio Pires is a large town and has everything you’d expect in any major European town.
Good transport links, banks, restaurants, a shopping centre, the inevitable McDonalds, they are all there. The plus in my view is that you are living in a quiet residential area; no tourists, no inflated prices and no “Brits away from home” attitude. In other words you will need to be prepared to see Portugal through the eyes of a local resident.
Inspiration
In Troia you’ll find dolphins, flamingoes migrate annually to the Rio Tejo and you can spend a lovely day going on a boat trip along the river to see them.
If you feel in a James Bond mood you can visit the world famous Estoril Casino (the inspiration behind the “Casino Royal” book), you can surf, hang glide, snorkel, go on boat trips, visit castles, churches, forts and rugged coastlines.
All Year Round
Of course it isn’t just about the Summer, the winters are very mild in this part of Portugal and there are numerous winter sports at Serra Da Esterla (which is the highest mountain in Portugal).
It can get a bit windy and wet but apart from the mountains it is a lot milder than the UK in the winter and of course you can get fantastic off-season deals, (although Easy-jet don’t fly off season). You will still be able to get off-season bargains if you look early and hard enough. The trick is to plan ahead and shop around before you commit yourself.
A common worry is finding the apartment after you land in Lisbon. We will obviously be sending you an information pack when you book your holiday and in amongst that is the mobile telephone number of the owner who speaks good English and can help you if you are worried. The owner will come to the airport and drive you to the apartment if you prefer but there is obviously a charge for this. You will find details in the information section of the website.
Convenient Location
Sintra, Setubal, Cascais, Lisbon, Costa Da Caparica, Estoril are all within easy travelling distance. People have got into the habit of regarding the Algarve as the place to go. It is a lovely place to visit but you will pay a higher price. By renting a local apartment in a non tourist area you will undoubtedly save a lot of money. For instance if you want to eat out, you should explore the county of Seixal for example. You’ll find the freshest produce a lot cheaper than if you went to the capital or Cascais for example.
Explorer or Tourist?
This type of holiday is one for the explorers amongst you. The capital Lisbon is simply an amazing place and then you have the fantastic coastlines, seaside resorts, cultural and historic sites as well a some breath-taking scenery to make the trip an unforgettable experience.
The Park of Nations in Lisbon is really worth the visit being one of the biggest in Europe it contains a casino, oceanarium, many restaurants, shops and attractions.
You could spend a few days just there to fully appreciate what is there.
A word of warning though, it can be expensive if you are taking the family so make sure you get a family ticket and parking in Lisbon itself is not great, it is sometimes better to park in perhaps Cascais or get the Ferry in and use public transport to get around the capital.

The holiday apartment costs less than £82 per person per week for a group of four people booking for a fortnight !
It is a fantastic way to save money and have an authentic holiday. You can use local transport but I suggest you hire a car for your holiday. There is simply too much to miss if you don’t.
This is the type of holiday you will want to repeat over and over again. You will find a lot more information on this site so you can get a flavour of the area and some ideas for days out and places to visit.
